Catalog description

course examines the National Electric Safety Codes & Wisconsin PSC rules & regulations. In addition, competencies related to solving electrical problems, parallel & series circuits, power factors, circuit protection, metering, grounding, power quality and renewable energy are included. Apprentices will also build skills with using meters & test equipment. Apprentices will build skills applying OSHA 1910.269 and other safety requirements to troubleshooting equipment and components. Course provides two weeks of related instruction in a block scheduling format.
