CERAMIC CROSSOVER WELD TRAINING

in this class, learners will hve the opportunity to attempt ceramic tape welding in the flat, vertical, and horizontal positions. Topics discussed in this session will be FCAW setup, interpass temperatures, wire placement in the puddle, torch angles, root openings, root faces, weaving/stringer techniques, placement of ceramic tape, fit up requirements, weld inspection standards, proper use of grinding wheels on butt joints, x ray testing criteria, electrical stick out. Learners will first practice on small plates in the 1G, 2G and 3G positions with the goal of quickly progressing into attempting the WPQ1-003 "Ceramic Crossover Test".
