Catalog description

Program begins with an overview of speeds & feeds, covering RPM & feed formulas, the use of the Machinery Handbook, & guidelines for tapping & secondary operations. Then focuses on tooling selection, highlighting different sizes, styles, & materials for drills, endmills, facemills, taps, & reamers. Participants learn blueprint reading basics, including blueprint components, views, symbols, various tolerance styles, & practice interpreting blueprints. Measurement tools & techniques are covered, such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, thread gauges, Go/No Go gauges. Training continues with instruction on the machining process, time management, efficient setups, & safety.
