Catalog description

COMM 1316 This course focuses on problems and practices of photography for newspapers and news Web sites. It includes instruction on digital camera and related equipment operations with emphasis on specialized topics in photojournalism, such as sports, on location lighting, photo stories and essays, photo illustrations as well as basic visual and audio multimedia production. This class provides training under deadline pressure in a variety of basic news photography situations and requires publication of work in student publications.
