Catalog description

This course focuses on the theory and techniques in the examination of urine. The student is introduced to physical and chemical properties as well as microscopic examination of sediment and the identification of cells and crystals. Upon completion, students should be able to perform basic urinalysis and correlate laboratory results to renal disorders and other disease states. CORE Prerequisites As required by program.
