SUPERFICIAL SONOGRAPHY

Catalog description

This course will review the anatomy and familiarize students with scanning protocols for the thyroid, parathyroid, breast, scrotum, male pelvis and other superficial structures. Common pathologies will be discussed and correlated with other imaging modalities. Upon completion, students will identify protocols appropriate to specific techniques and will perform superficial sonograms. This is a CORE course. Prerequisites As required by program.
