Catalog description

In this course, Students will investigate the processes involved in identifying students who may need special education services. Students will examine formal and informal assessments used to determine student needs and eligibility for services, including applying assessment data to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and/or Section 504 plans when necessary. Students work will be guided by regulations and policies of relevant federal, state, and local education authorities.
