The Classroom: Managing and Organizing for Student Achievement and Engagement

In this course, students will explore theories, models, and strategies for effective classroom management and engagement for today’s PK-12 classroom. Students will investigate research-based instructional practices for classroom management. A classroom management system will be developed and methods for engaging students in the classroom will be explored. Students will examine various ways to use positive reinforcement, restorative justice, and social emotional learning approaches for managing in the PK-12 classroom environment.
