Catalog description

Students will explore theories and research related to early childhood development. Specifically, the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of infants, toddlers, and young children will be examined. Implications center on the construction of developmentally appropriate early childhood education instructional programs. Multicultural and anti-bias issues in early childhood settings are also introduced. Students will better understand culturally relevant methods for working with children and their families.
