Catalog description

This doctoral-level course explores contemporary issues and challenges in administering long-term care (LTC) facilities. Students will conduct in-depth analyses of regulatory, financial, ethical, and operational issues while incorporating health services research methodologies. Using publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), students will apply advanced critical thinking and research methodologies to develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies in LTC care quality and safety.
