Clinical Mental Health Counseling Internship II

Catalog description

After successful completion of the first internship experience, you will continue your supervised counseling experience. In this course you will earn at least 300 clock hours of supervised counseling internship with clients in a clinical mental health setting. You will complete at least 120 clock hours of direct service with actual clients. You will have weekly synchronous supervision with a counseling faculty member for two hours a week for 12 weeks. You will have opportunities to use history and assessment as you conceptualize cases and implement evidence-based techniques. You will practice termination skills when closing cases.
