Catalog description

(3420) 3 hours. An examination of the typical characteristics associated with severe behavior problems and procedures for identification of an emotional disturbance. Functional Behavior Assessments, developing Behavior Intervention Plans, Applied Behavior Analysis, positive behavioral supports, and monitoring progress on behavior will be included. Ethical and professional interpersonal characteristics of effective special educators are discussed. Five hours of observation are required for this course. Course Typically Offered: Spring.
