Catalog description

(3240) 3 hours. Analysis of collaboration and communication models to support best practices when working with families, caregivers, and professionals to support students with disabilities. The focus will be on the changing definition of family and other factors that may impact students. Teaching models, classroom makeup, and staff supports impacting students and families are examined. Requires 5 hours of observation in a Co-Teaching Classroom. Prerequisites: Student must be pursuing an Education B.S. Completion of EDUC 1301 and EDUC 2301. Course Typically Offered: Fall.
