Early Childhood Education and Curriculum Through FA & PE

Catalog description

This course promotes early childhood student learning, instruction, and assessment while incorporating mathematics, science, and social studies as well as visual arts, music, theatre, health, and physical education instruction. Students will also work with developmentally appropriate, research- and evidence-based assessment and instructional practices to promote all students' development of grade- level oral language skills, phonological and phonemic awareness, print concepts, alphabet knowledge, alphabetic principle, and reading comprehension. Prerequisite(s): EDEC 3310. Course typically offered: Fall and Spring
