Catalog description

(3310) 3 hours. This course is designed to promote early childhood student learning with a focus on instruction, assessment, cognitive, social, and physical development through art, music, theatre, health education, and physical education. Students will also apply foundational concepts, principles, and best practices related to the science of teaching reading, oral language skills, phonological and phonemic awareness, print concepts, and alphabet knowledge as well as mathematics, science, and social studies. Prerequisites: Student must be pursuing an Education B.S. Completion of EDUC 1301 and EDUC 2301. Course Typically Offered: Fall and Spring.
