3 hours. Examines the historical, philosophical, technological, legal, and sociological foundations of education as they relate to public and private schools, with emphasis on multicultural and community schools. Students will develop an understanding of the multi-faceted relationship between society and education. School-based field experience required. Course Typically Offered: Spring.
