Catalog description

3 hours. Introduces students to the fundamental principles of computer forensics and digital investigations, covering applicable laws, regulatory frameworks, and international standards. Topics include forensic workstation hardening, incident response triage, tools for evidence recovery, preservation, and analysis, and best practices in documentation and reporting. Prerequisites: Students must complete CSCE 3340 with a grade of "C" or better before enrolling in this class. Typically Offered: Spring
