3 hours. Introduces students to the fundamental principles of computer forensics and digital investigations, covering applicable laws, regulatory frameworks, and international standards. Topics include forensic workstation hardening, incident response triage, tools for evidence recovery, preservation, and analysis, and best practices in documentation and reporting.
