3 hours. Introduces students to both theoretical and practical aspects of cyber defense and offensive security. Coverage includes implementing secure IT systems and analyzing adversarial techniques that inform modern protection strategies. Additional focus is placed on network, operating system, and application-specific ethical simulation, detection, and analysis of cyberattacks. Prerequisites: Students must complete CSCE 2310 with a grade of "C" or better before enrolling in this class. Typically Offered: Fall
