3 hours. This course is designed to provide an introductory look at academic research in Communication and Media. It will cover a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including ethnography, surveys, and experiments. It will also provide an introductory look at data analysis. This class is designed to be a stepping stone into graduate studies and/or for anyone wanting a more in-depth look into research. Prerequisite(s): COMM 1010 OR COMM 2300 with a grade of C or better. Course Typically Offered: Each Fall, in even years.
