3 hours (3;0;0). Designed to emphasize the use of the four domains of language proficiency in academic Spanish through the effective use of traditional and emerging media technologies. Focuses on the role media plays in modern societies, the nuances of cross-cultural communication with the Hispanic world, and how social media technologies shape new generations. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 2050, equivalent, or intermediate to advanced oral communication skills as determined by departmental placement examination. Course primarily taught in Spanish.
