3 hours (3;0;0). Designed to introduce students to techniques used in oral interpretation between Spanish and English. Emphasizes fundamental concepts of simultaneous interpretation as well as common problems encountered by interpreters in various professional fields. Prerequisite(s): SPAN 2050, equivalent, or intermediate to advanced oral communication skills as determined by departmental placement examination. Course primarily taught in Spanish. Course Typically Offered: Spring.
