3 hours. This course aims to explore a generalist social work approach to delinquency prevention and intervention within the juvenile justice and correctional systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding the complex factors that place youth at risk, the impact of social environments, the role of policy and legislation, and the implementation of culturally responsive intervention strategies.
