3 hours. This course aims to introduce students to the social work profession. The students will delve into the history of the profession, learn about generalist practice and its characteristics, explore social work practice settings, and understand professional values and ethics. The course will also cover current issues and future directions for the profession, as well as the challenges faced by professional social workers.
