Intensive study of the conceptual framework of sociology and its application to contemporary society. Topics include social change, ethnic groups, sex roles, urban and rural societies, population patterns, culture, differing lifestyles and the role of sociology in influencing individual and group behavior. Prerequisite(s): consent of department or instructor.
