3 hours. A survey of neuroscientific investigations of cognitive processes with neuroimaging data, electrophysiological data, as well as lesion studies in both healthy and clinical populations. It examines the neural underpinnings of the mind and subsequent behavioral outcomes. Topics include an introduction to the brain and research methods of cognitive neuroscience, visual recognition, attention, memory, emotion, language, cognitive control, and consciousness. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1100; PSYC 3310 or PSYC 4640. Course Typically Offered: Fall
