5310. 3 hours (3;0;0). The fundamental concepts and techniques in managing and presenting data for effective data-driven decision making. Topics include data design as well as practical applications of appropriate research methodologies to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of public and nonprofit sector programs and policies. Topics include: developing an evaluation plan; designing various types of evaluations such as process, impact, cost-benefit, and cost-effectiveness evaluations; and managing evaluation projects. Data visualization includes understanding the best practices for usable, consumable, and actionable data/results presentations. Prerequisite(s): PLDR 5300. Course Typically Offered: Spring.
