Credit hours: 3Description: Major themes in mathematical history: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, probability, statistics and advanced mathematics. Special focus to the development of the number system through civilizations ranging from Babylonia and Egypt through Greece, the Far and Middle East and on to modern Europe.Prerequisite(s): C or better in MATH 2413 (formerly MATH 2424 or MATH 1710); or MATH 1351Course Typically Offered: Fall.
