(3321) 3 hours. This course introduces the fundamentals of forensic photography as applied across forensic and investigative science disciplines. Students learn to document scenes, evidence, and investigative processes using still and video photography. Emphasis is placed on camera operation, lighting, composition, image preservation, and legal considerations. Topics include close-up, macro, aerial, and low-light photography, photo diagrams, and proper sequencing. Students develop skills to produce clear, accurate, and legally defensible images to support investigative reports and expert testimony in civil and criminal proceedings. Prerequisites: Must be pursuing a Criminal Justice B.S. Course Typically Offered: Fall.
