Catalog description

3 hrs. Examination of ethical theory, ethics in business, and ethical responsibilities of the accounting profession. The ethical expectations for the accounting profession will be considered in depth. Designed to meet the ethics requirement of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). NOTE: This course applies only to the ethics requirement and does not count toward the TSBPA¿s upper-level accounting hours required to take the CPA exam. This ethics course required for CPA certification may be accepted as a business course beyond the required 21 hours and taken any time prior to certification. May not be taken more than twice at UNT Dallas. Prerequisite(s): ACCT 3110 with a grade of C or better. Course Typically Offered: Fall and Spring.
