Mental Health Medications.

Catalog description

This course will equip future workers in the helping professions to work with their clients and patients to support them with use of medications that treat mental disorders. Topics discussed include: major types of medications used to treat mental health disorders, patient medication experiences, helping patients to self-monitor mental disorders, tips for patient education, dealing with stigma, complex psychotropic medication pearls, and promoting medication adherence.
