Catalog description

Microbial genetics will explore gene identification, mutation, DNA repair, gene transfer, recombination, bacteriophage genetics, and gene regulation. Topics such as bacterial antibiotic resistance, genetic testing and manipulation for biotechnological applications will be used to apply genetic concepts. Prereq: MICR 350 .
