Catalog description

This intensive, hands-on laboratory course provides practical training in aseptic technique, animal cell culture maintenance, and experimental applications. Students will practice fundamental methods such as thawing, plating, passaging, viability assays, and will design and carry out a small-scale experimental project. Graduate students will expand into advanced techniques and critically evaluate current literature on cell culture methodologies, including ethical considerations. Prereq: MICR 350L . Dual-listing: MICR 645 .
