Catalog description
The course will provide the students with understanding of basic concepts of nuclear physics and its applications to nuclear engineering processes; give the students a broad perspective of nuclear energy. By the end of this course students will be able to solve typical problems of nuclear engineering, will be familiar with basic principles of nuclear reactor design, and major issues associated with its safety and certification. Prereq: MATH 266 . Coreq: PHYS 252 . Dual-listing: ME 611 .
