Catalog description

The course explores how artificial intelligence and machine learning can enhance cybersecurity and what it means to build AI-enabled defenses that are trustworthy and resilient. The course also examines how adversaries may use AI systems for their goals and how practitioners reduce risk through mitigation strategies and governance. Students learn core concepts, how to work with security data responsibly, and common pitfalls that can lead to unreliable results. Prereq: CSCI 305 and CSCI 228 or CSCI 372 .
