Catalog description

An introduction to the identification, classification and evolution of vascular plants, with an emphasis on flowering plants (the angiosperms). Students will learn techniques for plant identification and the characteristic traits of plant families worldwide within the framework of our current understanding of plant evolutionary relationships. Students will use weekly field trips to develop their skills in collection and identification of plants. Dual-listing: BIOL 414 .
