Catalog description

This is an authentic course-based research experience for undergraduates. Through critical reading of the literature, students in this course will explore elements of biomedical research including the ethics of working with human subjects, experimental design of clinical studies, and statistical analysis and interpretation of results. The course will culminate with students completing a meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness of a biomedical intervention of their choice. Prereq: BIOL 150 , BIOL 150L , BIOL 151 and BIOL 151L .
