Catalog description

Introduction to modern history and cultures of migrations from the nineteenth century to the present to understand the historical, political, and cultural contexts in which migration occurs and unfolds. The course engages in a broad range of sources including memoirs, government reports, newspapers, popular media, court cases, and oral history interviews. The course is repeatable when taught by instructors from distinct language/culture sections in the department.
