Catalog description

An overview of French Literature from the Medieval period to the twenty-first century. Different genres and literary schools have both emanated from and contributed to social and economic change. Exploration of how the literary scene is connected to cultural and political events. The course presents a vast array of French writers. Students are also encouraged to explore French writers from all French speaking countries. Taught in English.
