There is a distinct body of information and techniques for the practice and an increasing demand and opportunity for veterinary graduates with this knowledge. Practical application of techniques and methods for diagnosing disease, delivering health care, and devising preventative medical programs in a research primate facility environment will enable students to evaluate their potential role in the field and equip them to evaluate and responsibly deal with medical issues involving primates.
