The Art and Science of Aging

Catalog description

This course introduces students to key concepts of aging, including definitions, and methods of assessing biologic age. The basic principles of geroscience will be taught and given clinical context through the presentation of key drugs targeting the aging process. The social, physical and emotional challenges of aging will be described in the context of pet ownership. By the end of this course, students will understand the key molecular, functional and social hallmarks of aging.
