Pathology, Diagnosis and Treatment of Substance Use Disorder provides a detailed study of the cause and effect (pathology), diagnosis, and treatment of Substance Use Disorders. This course is the second in the Addiction Recovery Specialty but can also be taken by those outside of the specialty. Students gain in-depth knowledge of the varied thoughts on the cause of misuse of substances, a detailed understanding of the various substances of abuse and their manifestations, understanding of how to diagnose substance use disorders and the various models of treatment.
