Computational Plasma Physics
North Carolina State University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
Computational methods are widely used to study plasma physics and plasma engineering. The theory of kinetic particle simulations and fluid simulations is reviewed in detail, particularly for low temperature plasmas. Hands-on development and execution of computational models demonstrates critical capabilities and limitations of each modeling approach and the associated numerical methods.
