This course focuses on methods and approaches used in educational research to estimate causal effects on observational versus experimental data. Such research methods address issues related to analyses of observational data where units (e.g., students and their families, teachers, principals, schools, etc.) choose to engage in behaviors, programs or policies, rather than being randomly assigned by researchers.
