Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the differing and changing perceptions of the role of higher education in American society, including the politics of competition for priority of attention and resources, and explores the setting, influences, and outcomes of the policy-making process. The course explores political and governmental structures and powers, theories of the public policymaking process, as well as the role of institutional policy structures.
