Learning for Civic Engagement & Social Change is an introduction to theories of civic participation, engagement, and learning. Also addressed are the knowledge, dispositions, and skills necessary to engage effectively in forms of public life, including community organizing and social movements. For professionals in various roles in adult and lifelong education who want to support democratic participation, it is necessary to understand issues related to broader social issues, and especially to have the tools necessary to promote and enact learning and change at community and societal levels.
