Veterinary Histology I

Catalog description

This course covers normal histologic features of the main veterinary domestic mammalian species' body systems through both lecture and labs utilizing microscopes and/or digital slides. While this course will focus predominantly on normal histology, examples of basic pathologic tissue alterations will be incorporated by instructors. Ideally, this information can be used to understand basic anatomy and physiology, pathologic reports (e.g., biopsy or necropsy reports), or build a foundation for students interested in incorporating histology into their careers.
