Catalog description

The course will introduce students to the essential practice skills needed to effectively address the challenges of integrating services, care, and support for persons with health, mental health, and substance use disorders. The course focuses on assisting individuals in the maintenance or attainment of optimal health and mental health, social and economic justice, and recovery and wellness. Theories related to organizational structure and change within an integrated behavioral health environment and strategies for practitioners to influence policies and promote change will be presented. PREREQ: Admission to the MSW Program or MAEd in Counseling Program
