Social workers are one of the human service professionals often called upon to assist people in acute crisis-induced situations. The course provides a brief overview of selected crisis and crisis intervention theories, discusses some of the tools and models for intervention, and illustrates how social workers may intervene and/or deal with selected crisis situations. PREREQ: Admission to The Graduate School
