This course provides the context for generalist social work practice. Students will learn about the historical development of the social work profession. The course offers an overview of contemporary social work practice and the need for social services in a modern society. It reviews social work methods and fields of practice with an emphasis on professional values and ethics. PREREQ: Admission to the MSW Program
