Social Work Practice III

Catalog description
This course is designed to further develop students’ generalist social work practice in rural settings. Practice content also emphasizes professional relationships that are characterized by student’s ability to assess client strengths and needs based on their environment. This course includes content regarding knowledge, values and skills to enhance the well-being of people and to help ameliorate the environmental conditions that affect people adversely. Practice content also includes approaches to and skills for practice with clients from differing social, cultural, racial, religious, spiritual, and class backgrounds, and with systems of all sizes. Social work majors must complete this course with a minimum of grade C. PREREQ: SWK 3850, 3910, 4900 COREQ: SWK 4600 and 4910
